Grand Portage Band of Lake Superior Chippewa, Oshki Ogimaag Community School

Innovators of the Future Community Based Science Activities, Grand Portage, fosters excitement in learning and interest in science among young Native American students through culturally‐grounded early education intervention. The project aims to bolster and continuously reinforce the motivation to attain high school graduation and pursue post‐secondary education. The long‐range goal is to cultivate a future workforce of Native American biomedical scientists who will work to address the critical health needs of Native Americans through research, including through the study of regenerative medicine.
