Grant Description

Mill Creek Life Sciences produces materials that provide the nutrients and growth factors needed to develop cells used in regenerative medicine. Mill Creek’s lead product, PLTMax, helps grow the cells that are used to treat patients with ALS, damaged hearts, a history of stroke, and more than 20 other diseases and ailments. Mill Creek’s business development plan is built on our continued support and improvement of the culture of stem cells, endothelial cells, and other cells used in the field of regenerative medicine.

Mill Creek has two patent-pending technologies shown to enhance cell growth that could be used to develop cells to treat patients. They plan to optimize these technologies alone or in combination with other products to industrialize and commercialize them.

Regenerative Medicine Minnesota (RMM) distributed a grant to Mill Creek to pursue a key technology that allows real time evaluation of cell growth. Essentially, the technology uses a high-resolution camera, precision location mechanisms, and computer integration to capture images of cells growing and convert that into cell growth curves for more than fifty variables at the same time.
